VCU WINS 2ND GAME WHILE TOP SEEDS MOVE ON
Five go 15-1 with The Downtown Fiction a record-tying 30-2 in the round

PHOENIX, AZ (smt)-  The four Big 10 teams (#8W-Michigan, #1E-Ohio St, #3SW-Purdue, #9SW-Illinois) picked up easy victories while the Pac-10 continues to struggle with #5W-Arizona holding off a furious rally and #7E-Washington surviving a last second tying 3-pointer at the buzzer after leading by 10 with 2 minutes left.  Three double-digit seeds advanced with #10SW-Florida St, #11E-Marquette, and #11SW-VCU getting comfortable victories, the later the only one of four Final Four winners to advance to the 3rd Round (was 2nd).  #8E-George Mason completed a late rally to advance for first time since their Final Four run five years ago. Top seeds #2SW-Notre Dame, #1W-Duke, #1SW-Kansas, #2E-UNC (scoring 102 points but gave up 87), and #3E-Syracuse also picked up victories while #4W-Texas nearly blew a 15-point lead with 4 minutes left.

For the second straight year, five entries went 15-1 for the day (same as President Obama), tying a record set 18 times previously. The Downtown Fiction tied a record with 30 wins in the round to hold his lead.  Following are Craig (58 pts), Big Luther (56), and Krimsonguard (54) before the logjam begins at 52 points.  The day was so good for everyone that only one person lost a Final Four team (Xavier (Cally 2 Stiff (99th-Tied, 42)).  The average # of wins for the day was 11.9.  But all alone at the bottom is SlackJaw with only 36 points.  Seven went 9-7 for the day.

Tids & Bits - #3SW-Purdue won their 13th straight 1st (now 2nd) round matchup... Sisyphus (78th-T, 44) only has 10 of 16 Sweet 16 teams left.. the Big East is 7-4 but will lose at least two in the next round as Cincy-UConn and Syracuse-Marquette face each other... in 2000, Money and Morales' Mounds got 30 of 32 correct... Craig, Krimsonguard, and Jump Off That Sofa (who jumped from 61st-T to 5th-T, 52) tried to become the first 16-0 entry on Day 2 but were tripped up by the 15th game of the day, #6SW-Georgetown's upset to VCU... Michigan killed troubled coach Bruce Pearl's #9W-Tennessee by 30 and did it without hitting a single free throw (0/1), a first in a tournament game...

Only got to see the end of the Arizona game (luckily most were blowouts)
