"Not-so-Deep thoughts" - weekend update by Fern ----------------------------------------------- Vol. 1, No. 3 15/June/98 COSTA MESA, California - Excuse me if this reporter seems distracted, but the U.S. team plays the Germans in less than two hours and I'm very close to wetting my pants. A few things happened over the weekend: Paraguay v. Bulgaria...5:30am...I don't think so...Don't you think the networks would get better ratings if they taped the games then replayed them at a later time? I understand "Live", but for the sake for the sake of the west coast. PLEASE. The Argentines can't be too pleased with their 1-0 win over Japan. They didn't even have to work for their goal. A win is a win, but they'll need to put more effort into their game. Jamaica, Tunisia, and Iran make you wonder if the new 32 team format was a good idea. I hate Mexico. I hate Luis Hernandez. Can you imagine if Mexico makes it to the next round, their opponent will be the U.S. And if the U.S. doesn't win that game, there will be hell to pay, the Steve Sampson way. The Los Angeles Galaxy will not play a game until this Thursday, 12 days after their last game. Did you need to know this? NO!!! Unless you're a fan like I am. Represent, fb
