SUB-.500 SIENNA TAKES "OPENING ROUND" GAME
Entries a-rollin' in.. deadline is 9 am tomorrow

CERRITOS, CA (smt)- #65-Sienna, with a 16-18 record, took the first step in trying to become the first team to ever win seven games in a tournament. Unfortunately, beating #64-Alcorn St. means they'll face #1E-Maryland. Oh, well. Considering the finalfour.net site didn't even have this game webcast (at least for the first hour) shows how unimportant this game was.

This year's pool is proceeding steadily. We'll come close to our high of 59 entries last year with a good mix of newbies and veterans. If you have any suggestions (not that we'll listen :-), please post them to our discussion board. Also, if you have a PDA and use Avantgo, you can download the latest pool updates. Go to Scott's Pool Updates at http://www.hwci.com/ncaa/scott.html.

An fyi... I'll be in Vegas next week (Sat 3/23-Mon 3/25) and in Miami for the first part of the Final Four (Thu 3/28-Sun morn 3/31) so updates could be slim during these periods. I'm working to borrow someone's laptop or find an internet cafe nearby. But Dave will keep the web page updated every night with the latest standings and possibilities. In the meantime, let's hope CBS's coverage is better than NBC's coverage of the Olympics.
