3/21/96, Issue # 9.3.1  "Wake Forest survives scare; Pool down to 12"

            # 2 Wake Forest survived #6 Louisville's last second possession to keep 11 people a perfect 4-0 day.  UMass and Kentucky scored easy victories.  # 2 Georgetown fought it out and snapped # 3 Texas Tech's 23-game winning streak.

            BIX PIX TWEY and SAY IT AIN'T SO JOE were the only two people in the top 10 to not have a perfect day.  Both picked 3 of 4 games. Just three points separate first from ninth place.  JABIAN and THE MIGHTY MOBELFAKTA held on to their first place tie with 102 points.

            JUST AL, THE TAUREAN, and CHURRO QUEEN were eliminated from the top three spots, leaving just 12 competitors left for the $190.00 pot.  JUST AL, THE TAUREAN, and THE CHEF, now in last place with 74 points, picked just 2 of 4 correct.  Defendning HWCI NCAA Pool Champion BIX PIX TWEY was officially eliminated from first place, leaving a path for a new HWCI NCAA Pool Champion. 

            After tomorrow, individual possibilities will be available.  It will present the different scenarios for each person still in prize money contention.

*    1st PRIZE:  $ 110.00

*    2nd PRIZE:  $  50.00

*    3rd PRIZE:  $  30.00

* Points awarded per round:  2 / 3/ 4/ 6/ 8/12 points per win

* Total points possible   :  64/48/32/24/16/12 = 196 points
