3/17/96, Issue # 7.2.2  "Might is right"

            # 2 Wake Forest held on to defeat # 10 Texas to preserve two perfect records.  THE MIGHTY MOBELFAKTA went a perfect 8-0 for the Sunday to move into a first-place tie with JAYBIAN and JOSEPH with 86 points.  LIL' SAIGON also went 8-0 to move into a 3-way tie for fourth place.  SON OF ANDY'S CRAP was the only other player to pick # 6 Louisville over # 3 Villanova.

            Already, three people have been eliminated from competition.  CHURRO QUEEN, THE CHEF, and HEATHER can't finish higher than fourth place.  HEATHER picked just 7 of 16 2nd Round winners (a new HWCI record low) and is in last with just 65 points.  However, THE CHEF can only pick up a _maximum_ of 98 points, while HEATHER can pick up at most 141 points.

            JAMES and SON OF ANDY'S CRAP can finish no higher than 2nd place, while JUST AL can finish no higher than third place. 

            JAYBIAN can pick up a total of 170 points and is just one of four people to still have its Elite Eight picks intact.

            Here are the finalized rules and prize monies:
