TOURNAMENT STARTS IN DAYTON BUT NO ONE NOTICES
24 hours left - deadline to enter your picks is 9 AM PST Thursday!

CERRITOS, CA (smt)- Quietly, the NCAA Tournament kicked off with its Opening Round match in Dayton. #65-Florida A&M (FAMU) (RPI # 266) won their fourth straight game by upsetting #64-Lehigh in the Play-In game on Tuesday. Florida A&M, however, is still under .500 (15-16) and will play #1MW-Kentucky on Friday. This is the third straight year the team that won the Opening Game is still under .500. The real tournament begins at 9:20 AM Thursday with 16 games followed by another 16 on Friday with exclusive crappy CBS coverage.

Billions of hours of work productivity will go down the tubes (no pun intended) on Thursday and Friday so you might as well declare yourself a 4-day weekend. The tournament will, however, enhance the multi-tasking skills of its workers as he/she flips between the Power Point window and CBS Sportsline GameCenter window in the most efficient manner possible. We are on track to get around 50 entries this year (which would put first place in the $230-250 range) and trigger the Bonus Prize. We've gotten several entries from those who found us on the web - which isn't unusual, but a good number actually have paid their fee - which is!

Which brings us to the reminder to remember to pay your entry fees. Make arrangements (such as PayPal) to send in your $10 entry fee(s) by Friday, March 19th. If Dave and I know who you are, you get more leeway because we know where you live (pay us when we see you). Complete rules and daily pool information can be found on the official site. Remember, the entry deadline is 9 am PST Thursday.

Hope the luck of the Irish is with you...
