NO ONE IS GUARANTEED MONEY AS 17 AWAIT FINAL FOUR WEEKEND
The 8th HWCI NCAA Champion could emerge on Saturday

CERRITOS, CA (smt)- The 8th Annual HWCI NCAA Tournament Pool will see a new person claim the title of champion. Seventeen entries will be fighting for the four money spots as the Final Four kicks off Saturday with #5S-Indiana vs #2W-Oklahoma. Six have a chance to claim the $400 1st place prize. In recognition of the variety of different picks in the pool, 10 different entries have just one chance of winning money.

Scott T. is the only person that has a chance to win money on all 8 possible scenarios but if Oklahoma beats Kansas in the Final, he could lose the tiebreaker and take home nothing. Otherwise, he gets 1st or 2nd if Maryland (via THE FABON8ER) or Indiana (via FABON8ER or FREE FABONE) reaches the final. RANDOM PICKS will take home either 2nd or 4th if Maryland beats Kansas. CHENMAN will take home 1st if Oklahoma wins it all or nothing at all. WILDCAT PRIDE will take 1st or 2nd if Kansas wins it all (3rd/4th if Indiana beats Kansas). YBBAT will take 1st if Kansas beats OK (2nd/3rd if reversed) and 4th if Kansas beats Indiana. ARPS has a chance for first if Indiana beats Kansas and will fight for 4th if OK beats Kansas. Other than that, everyone else will need a specific scenario to win money. The prize breakdown: 1st-$400, 2nd-$200, 3rd-$130, and 4th-$70. The $70 for 4th place matches the 1st place winnings in our first pool in 1995.

After the first 2 rounds, THE FABON8ER only had a 3.1% chance of winning first (now 50%). KAIZEN is the only person who never had a chance for first after 2 rounds and is still alive. BIG RED had a 0.99% chance to win money and is still alive. On the other side, RANDOM PICKS had a 22.3% chance for 1st and can't finish higher than 2nd. NOBODY had a 39.6% chance for money and is now eliminated.
