3/23/96, Issue # 11.4.1  "Hoyas loss narrows field"

            The much anticipated UMass-Georgetown turned out to be a huge blowout for # 1 Minutemen finally make it to the Final Four.  The Georgetown loss nearly dismantled HATE THE DUCK'S chances for first place.  He now has only 2 chances (of 32) for first (tie) and that is if Kansas beats UMass in the final.  JAYBIAN finally took a hit with the Hoyas loss and he now has 24 chances for first place and one chance for second place.  He still holds a 3-point lead over BIX PIX TWEY (who can't finish higher than second place anyway) with 124 points.

            JOSEPH and JAMES have identical final four picks, and consequently, JOSEPH will always finish one point higher than JAMES.  THE FABONE, although tied for fourth place, is eliminated from the pool. 

            # 1 Kentucky's fourth straight blowout win in the tournament knocked both SHAMAN and THE MIGHTY MOBELFAKTA to at most third place.  The UMass win eliminated both BERNIE and THE MIGHTY MOBELFAKTA and knocked LIL' SAIGON to at most a second place finish.

            Only five people now have a chance to win the 1996 HWCI NCAA Tournament Pool.  THE CHEF, now with just 80 points, will set a new HWCI low for points in a tournament pool.

            After Sunday's games, there will be a printout of all eight possible (before tiebreaker procedures) outcomes of the tournament.
